Release Day Blitz ... EMBRACE by Stacey Lynn writing as S. Layne

EMBRACE
the affair series, book two
by Stacey Lynn writing as S. Layne

Liam Parker crash landed into Laurie’s life when everything else was crumbling all around her. Her marriage and career were in pieces and her mind was left spinning.

But one touch from Liam, and Laurie could forget everything else around her.
She thought she had it all figured out.

As Laurie lost herself in Liam’s warm caresses and his commanding blue eyes, her husband refused to go quietly into the night. While Laurie fought to move on, it was James who was working his way back into her life, fighting for the marriage they had once held dear.

Forced to make choices she never imagined having to make, Laurie finally found herself on firm footing, knowing which way she was going to turn.

But then life threw her another curveball. And when she once again began picking up the pieces, learning how to survive and rebuild after everything exploded, there was only one man still there, one man who remained by her side, showing her that sometimes life isn’t about learning how to survive…

It’s about learning how to thrive.

**I received an ARC for an honest review.**

I am going to start this out by saying that I am so opposed to marital affairs, but for some reason his book and ENTICE did it for me. I loved that Laurie decided to take her life into her own hands no matter what anyone else thought. I hate that she was ever in the situation that she was in because of it she did something probably never imagined she would do.

With that being said...I can not believe the outcome of Laurie's story. I just did not see it coming, but after it all played out I am so so so happy with the outcome. I don't want to give it away, but when I finished ENTICE I was like the majority of readers. After reading EMBRACE I am now firmly planted on the opposite side of where I was. I don't want to spoil the read for anyone else so I won't say how it ends, but I will say that James definitely did redeem himself in my eyes. The way the situation played out is most likely not how I would have handled it, but it definitely won me over.

UGH! I feel like I am giving it away, but I am not going to come out and say it. I will however say that I liked the way the characters grew in this installment. Laurie was a much more open minded person, but she still took her life into her own hands and did what is best for her. James manned up and decided that he couldn't just throw apologies and flowers at Laurie to try and make things better. Liam had feelings, he started to see Laurie as more that a piece, which wasn't the plan. I liked that
even the relationship between Laurie and her parents grew as well.

I am excited for more of this series. I like the pace and the characters and am ready for more.

S. Layne currently lives in Minnesota with her husband and four children. When she’s not conquering mountains of laundry and fighting a war against dust bunnies and cracker crumbs, you can find her playing with her children, curled up on the couch with a good book, or on the boat with her family enjoying Minnesota’s beautiful, yet too short, summer.
She lives off her daily pot of coffee, can only write with a bowlful of Skittles nearby, and has been in love with romance novels since before she could drive herself to the library.
