**I received an ARC via NetGalley for an honest review.**
I enjoyed this YA read. I liked watching the two young people that it centered around grow into adults in a really different world than most 18 year olds live in. I liked that not only did it center around both of them and their issues but it also was about helping someone else in a similar situation that Eve went through as a young girl in the modeling industry.
When we meet Eve I could tell there was something from her past that was haunting her, but for the most part she seemed really well adjusted considering all the things she went through as a young teen girl. As the story progressed and the man from her past keeps showing up in her present, I was able to see how easily he was able to suck her back into the same mind set as when she was 15. She put to much stock into the things he said to her and she began to be somewhat dependent on him again, even though she didn't realize it herself.
Luckily she had Alex Evans in her corner and he knew that something just wasn't right. I really liked his all American boy next door kind of vibe he gave off, but what I really liked what that he was a genuinely lovable guy especially in the world both Eve and him were living in. Alex's relationship with Eve was so much fun to watch grow into what it was by the end of this book. I also like that it wasn't insta-love and that it wasn't what the book was mostly focused on. I like that there was another element to the storyline besides teenage love. There were real issues that the two were trying to overcome and solve.
The beginning of this book was a little slow and hard for me to connect with the characters but once I got farther into the story, I just could not wait to see what would happen with all of these young people. This is a sweet read with a little bit of heavy emotional topics too.
