About WICKED WHITE

After his mother dies, rock star Ace White—lead singer of the red-hot band Wicked White—is done with the celebrity game. The phony people, the meaningless one-night stands: he doesn’t want any of it anymore. Quitting in the middle of a sold-out tour, Ace sets out to find some place—any place—where he can be alone.
Aspiring singer Iris Easton’s life has never been easy. First, her mother walked out on her when she was a kid. Now she’s buried in debt, weeks after losing her beloved grandmother. When a mysterious and sexy new guy moves in next door, Iris can’t help but be drawn to his soulful gaze. She can tell there’s something from his past haunting him—something he’s not telling her.
Just as Ace starts falling for Iris, the media go on a worldwide hunt to find the missing rocker. Will true love conquer all, or will the truth be the very thing that tears the couple apart?

4 STARS

**I received an ARC for an honest review.**

This book was an enjoyable read, although at times I did become frustrated with both characters. Even still I did enjoy the overall flow, pace and storyline. I did like that it wasn't rushed for the sake of making it a HEA romance. The two main characters had problems and I did like the way that they eventually worked through them in a way that was best for them and each other.

Iris is a super sweet girl with big dreams of being on broadway and Ace is a runaway rockstar who hates his sold out life. They are also Iris the trailer park manager and Ace the mysterious new tennant running from and hiding his past. Iris is trying to figure out how to keep what was hers to inherit and Ace was trying figure out how to lose what he had always wanted. There is a lot of push and pull between Ace and Iris. Ace knows he needs to keep his distance because he can't get to close to someone and chance them figuring out his past and what he is hiding. Iris just wants to figure out why Ace hates her so much, why he keeps coming to her aid only to push her away with his harsh words.

At first I was very frustrated with Iris for allowing Ace to continually be so rude to her without at least trying to take up for herself, but when I found out it was because her grandmother taught her to always be kind, then I understood a little more. After awhile she did break down his resistance and he did end up being super sweet to her. Ace was a super sweet guy anyway. I loved all the things that he eventually revealed to Iris. Together they were such a great fit, well until things were said and done.

The last part of this book was pact with a lot of tension. I was really rooting for them to get their stuff together and I kept hoping that every page I turned that there would be Ace and Iris living their HEA. BUT I really loved the way it all played out. I liked that it wasn't rushed. I loved that both of them got a chance to really live their dreams and the ending really was a great one for both of them.

If you like rockstar romance then this is a good book to join your collection.
