There are books full of great writing that don't have very good stories. Read sometimes for the story... don't be like the book-snobs who won't do that.
Read sometimes for the words--the language. Don't be like the play-it-safers who won't do that. But when you find a book that has both a good story and good words, treasure that book. - Stephen King

** I received an ARC from the Author for an honest review. **

This book has it all...action, a little bit of mystery and a whole lot of sexy bits. It is well written and the story line is awesome. The characters are very believable especially in their situations and their reactions to things are especially believable.

I connected very easily with the main character Fallon as well as Luca. I felt both sides of their love for one another and their frustrations when their situation gets complicated. I don't want to give much away, but this book is one of the best "Syndicate" (Mafia) books that I have read. The fact that it is written in dual POV made it that much better. I was able to really get into both sides of the story and was neither for one more than the other. There are so many things that go on in this book and the mystery and suspense are well written.

I loved that Fallon was such an innocent type, but she definitely opened up with Luca. Their sexual tension was off the charts and oh so steamy. Those naughty scenes will definitely get you. What I liked even more about this story was that the sexy bits isn't all there is to it. There is so much story to this book and good story. The author does a great job explaining things from both sides to get a good understanding of Fallon's side of things as well as Luca's (Syndicate) side of things.  Everything that is addressed is very crucial to the storyline and where it is eventually going.

Now this is part of a series so there is not an HEA but just a slight cliffhanger...okay maybe a gasping "WTF?" kind of cliffhanger, but I was not all pissed off by it but I am definitely going to be impatiently waiting for the next book! If you like Mafia books, with some violence, blood and some really hot Italian men who can sex up his lady then you should read this book.
