**I received an ARC for an honest review.**

My first read by this author and I LOVED every word of this book. There was so much depth to these character and the storyline that made it easy for me to be drawn in and always wanting more. I didn't want this book to end.

The author did an amazing writing the characters in a way that made it easy for me to connect with them, even the ones you want to hate. I loved that this book was so much more than just a romance, but about two people finding themselves in each other. Both Holt and Maddy had pasts that defined who they were in the present. Pasts that haunted them and made it difficult to move on, but I loved that when they both recognized it that they went for what they wanted. There was no lying and denying for these two. They both realized that the other is what their lives where missing.

There are a lot of aspects to this storyline that kept me reading for more. There was some mystery, suspense, sweet, funny and sexy...oh was there some sexy. What I really loved was that the sexy didn't overpower the storyline, the sexual tension was there and you felt it throughout the book, but it was built and executed in a way that made the anticipation worth it.

Holt is that perfect book boyfriend that makes you swoon and fall in love. He is such a strong male character and I loved his personality. Maddy is the perfect leading lady for Holt. I loved all of their interactions right from the beginning and that Maddy had Holt second guessing his assumptions of her right from the start. I liked that she confused him and that he was trying to figure her out from first meet.

Maddy is just one of those heroines that you fall in love with and root for. The one that you hope finds her way and finally gets a good break in life. Her character grew so much from the first page right until the last page. She deserved every bit of goodness that came her way.

There are a few surprises along the way and they made this story so much better. I loved that when all things were out in the open that it made these characters stronger.

This book is a must read if you like a good story with your romance. The author delivers a great story about second chances and love.

M.E. Montgomery has been an avid reader her entire life, and after falling in love with so many characters created by other authors, a new one began to form in her head. With the support of her family, she decided to to write it.

She is the homework queen to her four school aged children who think she is a genius in math, science, history and spelling. Fortunately, her biology and elementary school teaching background help her to keep up the expert façade, at least for now.

Although born and raised in the Washington DC metro area, she has considered many places to be called home since she left to attend college in North Carolina. She is a proud Navy wife, setting up a home wherever the Navy sends her husband. When she’s not reading or writing, she loves to go camping with her family, drink wine on the deck, and be swept off to romantic getaways.
