5 STAR Review … Last To Know by Micalea Smeltzer

Last To Know
Willow Creek Book 1

He was just a boy.
And I was just a girl.
But if that’s all there was to the story it wouldn’t be very interesting, would it?

Up and coming band Willow Creek is back in their hometown for the summer. For the drummer, Maddox Wade, this summer was meant for writing music and playing gigs.

Falling in love was not part of the plan.

One look at Emma Burke and those plans cease to matter.

Emma is quiet and guarded. She’s still hurt from her father walking out two years ago. She doesn’t want to trust Maddox, but with his dark hair, smoldering good looks, and infectious smile he’s impossible to resist.

Together Maddox and Emma embark on an unforgettable summer of adventures and first love.
Everything is perfect…or so Emma thinks.

There are things she doesn’t know, and when she finds out the truth it might shatter everything she’s built with Maddox.

No one said love was easy, and for Maddox and Emma it just might be impossible.

5 STARS

*I receive a copy of this book for an honest review.*

I will start off this review by saying that this book IS YOUNG ADULT. I loved Maddox and Emma's sweet, funny and just a tad bit of sexy.

Maddox Wade...I loved Maddox!!! He was so sweet, funny and had such charm. It helped that he could say some pretty sexy things to make Emma blush. I loved their relationship and how it seemed to be more than some young teenage romance. They had such a strong connection with each other and I am sure that is was because they both went through some pretty harsh things when they were younger. I liked that they were so open with each other, well except for that one teeny tiny detail that threatens to tear them apart.

This is the first YA book that I have read in quite sometime and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved the sweet innocence of Emma's personality. I loved that Maddox was who he was especially all that he went through. This is definitely a must read if you are looking for and great YA read.
