Blog Tour Stop with Review ... Forgetting August by J.L. Berg

About FORGETTING AUGUST

She can forgive, but can she forget?

Berg_Forgetting August_E-BookSome days, Everly still thinks she sees him. In the food court at the mall, or in a car speeding past as the light changes. It only lasts a second, but when it happens, she slips back to a time when she was ruled-and nearly ruined-by August Kincaid. And it doesn't matter that she's moved on, that she's about to marry another man. In those moments the only thing she can do to regain control is take a deep breath and remind herself that August can't hurt her-because he's in a coma. Except that he's not anymore.

August is awake. With no memories, he sets out to solve the mystery of his lost life. He unearths a photograph of a beautiful redhead named Everly and knows instinctively that she's the key. But when he finds her, the August she describes is more monster than man.

Tortured by the thought of having hurt her, August wants only to become the man Everly deserves. As the new August emerges, Everly glimpses the person she first fell in love with. But can she trust that this August is real? When the final secret of their shared past is revealed, one of them will make a choice that changes their future forever . . .

**I received an ARC for an honest review.**

Well, from the beginning I was really curious to see what kind of guy August was and the type of guy he would be. I loved the August of the present and the way that he embraced his second chance, but I hated the glimpses of the August of the past.

I don't want to give too much away because book two will be coming shortly, but I am going to put it all out there.

At times I couldn't stand Everly and her running and indecision. I hated that she was always lying to herself and those around her, until she wasn't. I love that when she finally realized that she couldn't just ignore August and the feelings that consumed her is when I really started to love her. Well, I loved bits of her from the beginning, like her need to comfort other and her compassion when it came to August regardless of their past. I liked that even though she knew it would lead to trouble she refused to leave him floundering. There were many things that I liked about Everly, but I liked her most when she was with August. Until she wasn't...

Man that ending was just a bit gut wrenching. I could believe that things had come full circle with them, but I understood from August's side. His need to protect her would always come first. I hated him again for it, but I loved him at the same time. But the ending left me wide eyed and bit stunned.

I need more of this story and I need it fast! Remembering Everly can not get to me fast enough and the little glimpse that I have had isn't going to hold me over for long.

This is a MUST read second chance romance with tons of drama to keep you drawn in and always reading for more.
