About BUILT:

From the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the Marked Men books comes an electrifying new spin-off series,Saints of Denver, featuring all the characters fans have been dying to read about.

Sayer Cole and Zeb Fuller couldn’t be more different. She’s country club and fine-dining, he’s cell-block and sawdust. Sayer spends her days in litigation, while Zeb spends his working with his hands. She’s French silk, he’s all denim and flannel.

Zeb’s wanted the stunning blonde since the moment he laid eyes on her. It doesn't matter how many smooth moves he makes, the reserved lawyer seems determinedly oblivious to his interest—either that or she doesn't return it. Sayer is certain the rough, hard, hot-as-hell Zeb could never want someone as closed off and restrained as she is, which is a shame because something tells her he might be the guy to finally melt her icy exterior.

But just as things start to heat up, Zeb is blindsided by a life altering moment from his past. He needs Sayer’s professional help to right a wrong and to save more than himself. He can’t risk what’s at stake just because his attraction to Sayer feels all consuming. But as these opposites dig in for the fight of their lives, battling together to save a family, the steam created when fire and ice collide can no longer be ignored.

**I received an ARC for an honest review.**

This is such a great read. I loved everything about it right from the beginning. It is always refreshing when the lead male character is the one that knows what he wants and is determined to take what is his. I also love that the female in this book is the way that she is because when she finally sees the drastic change that has been made to who she though she way is amazing.

I really did enjoy this read. It has been awhile since I have read a Jay Crownover book and I don't need to go that long without reading one again. I loved Zeb, oh how I loved that Paul Bunyon of a man. He is definitely one of those book boyfriends for life. He is so sweet, caring and very protective. I loved him from the start but he just kept winning my heart over and over again.

Sayer, gah I love that name! She was a little harder to love but I did love her. I liked that she was always who she said she was even though how she saw her self was not how others saw her. Her new life in Denver was very different than what she knew her entire life before and I liked that when she finally opened up that she really opened up a whole new Sayer. I guess it would have been hard not to considering that she had two amazing reasons to be her new self.

This book is definitely one that will make you all warm and fuzzy inside but it will also get you hot and bothered in hot minute. If you are a Jay Crownover fan or have never read one of her books, this is a MUST read! It is a great starter book to a series that I am looking forward to reading more of.

EXCERPT

“How come you don’t drive your cool truck during the week?”

Both his eyebrows shot up and I had to wait while he finished chewing to answer me. “My cool truck? The International? I know about a hundred sixteen-year-old boys that would disagree with you about the Jeep not being cool. Especially here in Colorado.”

I shrugged a little and gave up trying to be delicate with the messy sausage. I was sure I had yellow all over my face, but I didn’t care. The thing was delicious. Seattle Sayer had no idea what gloriousness she had been missing.

“I like the old truck. It’s pretty and it’s so neat to see something like that restored and well loved.”
“I do love it. That’s why I don’t drive it to jobsites. Too many nails and other stuff getting carelessly tossed around. I try and baby her.”

I made a face. “The truck is a her?”

He laughed again and cleanly polished off the rest of his brat. I was amazed he did it all without getting anything in his face fuzz. That was real talent right there, I thought begrudgingly as I continued to make a mess all over myself.

“Sure. She’s classy, elegant, made of study stuff, expensive as hell to keep running and keep pretty. She’s only good to me if I’m good to her, so obviously she’s a girl.

I rolled my eyes and then wiped my hands on the outside of my pants when I finished off my own dinner. Briefly I thought my dad would be horrified at the action but I shoved that thought down and instead focused on Zeb and only Zeb. “How long did it take you to restore her?”

He shrugged, got to his feet, and moved to pry open the massive bucket of white primer he had been using as a chair. My buddy Wheeler sold the body to me for next to nothing when I got out of prison. We went to high school together and I think he knew I needed something to keep me busy because the only kind of work I could find right after being released was shit work for shit pay. Every week I would give him a few bucks here or there and he would find me a part or a piece of motor and we slowly but surely got her altogether. It was one of the reasons I knew I had to find a long-term way to support myself. Just because I had a record didn’t mean I wasn’t a valuable employee or a hard worker. I got really sick of being treated like a second-class citizen because of one mistake.”

His eyes cut to mine and all I could do was nod in sympathy as he poured the liquid into trays and fished a couple of roller brushes out of a plastic bag.

“I actually met Rowdy through Wheeler. He had done a bunch of Wheeler’s tattoo work, and when I told Wheeler I wanted something to remind me not to do stupid things that would cost me years of my life again, he recommended Rowdy and the Marked shop. Rowdy was the one that recommended me to the guys that own the tattoo shop when they decided to open and renovate the new location downtown. It all seemed very meant to be, ya know?”

I did know. Everything was tied together with thin threads of fate, and when one loosened or tightened it was surprising how impactful it could be. Kind of like how I had ended up where with Zeb now.

A good love story always begins the same way.

A chance meeting.

A sizzling look.

A flat tire…

Dani Miner could have been voted least likely to be a damsel in distress.

Tabor Hunter should have been voted most likely to do the rescuing.

So when Dani gets a flat tire on her way home one evening, she is, at first, less than thrilled to be helped out by a man that is clearly too charming for his own good. Even if he is handsome. And buff. And the king of the thousand watt smile.

However, prickly Dani is eventually charmed by her hottie knight in shining sunglasses. And a brief moment spent on the side of the road on a hot summer evening quickly leads to a first date.

But what Dani doesn’t realize is that she has just agreed to go out with the very famous defensive end for the San Diego Quakes. And Tabor is thrilled to finally meet a woman who doesn’t fall at his overly athletic feet. This year's most valuable player is excited to have a chance to be an ordinary guy with a less than ordinary woman.

But being a celebrity can put a real kink in your love life and Dani, a woman used to a much quieter life, is soon caught up in the high paced world of fame and football.

Falling in love is easy. Falling in love with a sports star is another story.

Can Dani figure out how to play the game before she fumbles her chance at happiness?

**I received an ARC for an honest review.**

This is my first TK Rapp read and I am in LOVE with her writing style, characters and storyline. I loved the feel of this book and the feel of the characters. I really enjoyed that this book didn't have some dark twist and that everything was pretty much out in the open with the two main characters. I liked the honesty they both shared with each other and most importantly with themselves.

I LOVED Dani Miner. She is one funny sarcastic leading lady, but she is also very grounded in her life. Although at times she lets her fears override her and says and does things that hurt the feelings o those around her. I liked that she was so down to earth and that she was so dedicated to her job and her program. I really liked that she didn't get starstruck when she found out who Tabor really was. I like that she treated him like the man he wanted to be instead of the man that the whole world sees. I also liked that she took things slowly and didn't rush into anything. Ever the thinker that Dani.

I LOVE Tabor Hunter. Talk about a swoon worthy leading man. He is everything that a book boyfriend should be. He is so sweet, kind and he too is grounded. Although at times he could be a stubborn ass when provoked. But mostly he is quite a catch both on and off the field. I loved the few glimpses that we go into his mind with his POVs. He was such a genuine guy and I liked that about him. I also loved his mother and sister because together they were the ideal family. I liked the closeness that they shared and the fact that Dani fit right in was a bonus.

There were some ups and downs with Dani and Tabor's relationship, but with the stresses of real life outside of the shadows, you couldn't expect any less. I liked the way they handled things up until that boiling point, but the added tension to the storyline made it even better. I liked the push and pull of emotions that occurred during their "break" because it helped each one grow and realizes they didn't want to be without each other.

This is one of those feel good romances that make you swoon. I recommend giving it a read!

“Come. On,” I grunted, pulling one way and pushing another. “Stupid piece of junk!”

I threw the tire iron on the ground and jumped out of the way when it bounced. The last thing I needed was a bruise because I was a clumsy dumbass. I kicked the black rubber before wiping my hand across my face to move the stray auburn hair that clung to my forehead. My knees were blackened from the dirty asphalt and my hands were covered in brownish muck.

I was a complete mess.

I wiped my hands on my thighs and sat down on the curb, preparing to call my dad to drive over and save me.

“Do you need some help?” a low voice asked.

The sun blazed down, obstructing my view. Not even shielding my eyes seemed to help. All I could make out was a towering shadow a few feet away that was intimidating as hell. A gray Range Rover was parked behind him across the street, and I assumed it belonged to Mr. Tall-and-Helpful. He squatted down next to the tire, giving me an unobstructed view of him.

He wore gold-rimmed aviators and a baseball cap that hid his face well. But his full lips that were curved into a smirk had me entranced. I tried to avert my eyes to anywhere but his lips, knowing that he might be able to see exactly what I was thinking.

I cleared my throat and dropped my gaze, and it landed on the white T-shirt clinging to his chest. His pecs were straining beneath the thin material and it dawned on me as I continued to look him over that his muscles appeared to be bulging everywhere. Hell, his neck was probably the same size as one of my thighs.

After my breakup with Philip the year before, I’d sworn to myself that I would never rely on a man again—even for something as small as a tire change.

Don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t a man-hater by any means. I loved men. But I’d depended on Philip so heavily that I’d started to lose myself in the process. Once I’d found me again, I didn’t want to let go.

But sometimes you need help, whether you want to admit it or not.

“I—I’ll be fine,” I lied, scrambling to my feet to give me some distance. I had a better view of the guy and I was unable to say anything more. Mr. Tall-Helpful-and-Gorgeous let out a disarming huff and it shook me from my perusal of his body.

“I’m sure you will,” he said before stepping around me, picking up the tire iron, and pointing to the flat.

“Sure.” I shrugged. “I’ve only been trying for the last fifteen minutes.”

“I know.” He smirked as he placed it over the lug nut. With one strong push, he loosened it.

“You know?” I questioned, laughing softly. “How long have you been watching me?”

“Looked like you were determined to do it alone. Didn’t want to step on your toes,” he said without a hint of sarcasm.

“Oh,” was all I could say in response.

His hands moved swiftly, removing the rest of the lug nuts and setting them aside. I was fascinated at how easy the whole thing was for him, and I was grateful for his help.

“I’m Tabor,” he said as he put the car jack in place.

“Dani,” I answered. “And thanks.”

“No problem.”

He flashed a smile over his shoulder before he turned back to the tire. I touched my hair and realized I probably looked like a frazzled mess. Sweat was running down my spine, my clothes were smudged with dirt and grime, and I was pretty sure my mascara was trudging into raccoon territory.

“So do you make it a daily ritual to scour the neighborhood for damsels in distress, or do you happen to live around here?” I asked, though it came out rude and not playful as I intended.

I was grateful for his help, but it wasn’t coming through in my tone. My friends always told me my sarcastic, dry personality was off-putting, and when I wanted to rein it in, I failed miserably.

“Are you asking me if I come here often?” His eyebrow arched slightly over his sunglasses suggestively and he laughed as I stared at him feeling mortified.

**I received an ARC for an honest review.**

This book was so amazing!!!

I loved every second of this book even the parts that gutted me. Talk about to very broken people who needed each other in order to live again. Guy and Jules stole my heart and so did Max and Finn...especially Max and Finn.

There were so many parts in this book where I would hold my breath waiting for what would come next and hoping that I wouldn't be totally ripped to shreds. So many times I thought I knew what would come next, but was always shocked on how things would play out and I loved it every word of it. Nothing about this story is predictable and every part of it kept me sucked in waiting to see what would come next for Guy and Jules.

I loved that the beginning of this book shows the past for both Guy and Jules. It helps to see how each of their character grew and became the people that they are when they both meet. I hated that Guy was such a dick, but I also loved that no matter how hard he tried ignore Jules he couldn't. I also loved Jules loving nature and natural ability that she had when she was with Finn. I also liked that she didn't let Guy's crappy treatment towards her dictate how she would be with Finn.

I don't want to give a bunch away because that is not my style, but I really really loved all of these characters. Talk about a book you fall in love with, Abruption is definitely a book to read and fall in love with. The characters and the story line are well written and easy to connect with throughout the entire book. There are also some really shocking moments that will make you want to rip someones heart out and I love Jules and how she reacts to it. I love her protective side over her cubs and I loved that Guy supported her through it and didn't once turn on her.

This is a MUST, but be warned you will UGLY CRY you tail off!

Yep. That's an “s.” There are two of us!

We’re East coast girls separated by Long Island Sound who met in Physician Assistant School and have been besties ever since. We can safely say that thirteen miles of water does not get in the way because we talk or text, no exaggeration, at least 150 times a day. No, really, we do—about everything and nothing. Shockingly, we never (we mean never) run out of things to say. Umm, ever. We definitely laugh A LOT and we’re a tad sarcastic. And if we’re being totally honest, one or two people might have, on occasion, used our names and ‘dramatic’ in the same sentence. But it’s hard to trust the sources since they married us.

It only took twelve years, two husbands, five kids, two dogs, and a two-week vacation in Cape Cod later to decide the romance world needed a splash of medicine. Write what you know.

So you can easily find us at 4 o'clock on Bank Street beach with a glass of cold Prosecco brainstorming. And guaranteed if we bump into you, literally, it’s only because our iPhones are glued to our hands (totally out of our control) either writing or editing our next novel (and yes, it is possible to do from your iPhone, we mastered it … damn those straight quotations).

When we are not working on our book or reading the latest angsty romance on our kindles, you basically name it and we have it going on. Soccer, lacrosse, golf, swimming, dance, gymnastics, football, chess, baseball, basketball, skiing, ice skating, school, homework, and more school.

Oh yeah, did we forget to mention our careers in medicine?

Needless to say, we realized fast that something had to go, so we opted for sleep. It’s completely overrated (yet so AMAZING) and delirium makes everything funnier. Good thing we share a brain and can pretty much complete each other’s sentences (definitely weird, we know), otherwise it might have taken us two years to write Beautifully Awake rather than one.

So that’s our story, who we are … just add AUTHORS to the list!

**I received an ARC for an honest review.**

This book is filled with a painful and emotional tale of very damaged young man. It's a bit of a slow read and takes place over the course of a short period of time. The first half of the book basically covers days one and two of Justice Armstrong's arrival at The Sanctuary.

I loved all the animals and the way that Lil was with them. I liked that she seemed to be an animal whispere but that she was also what Justice ultimately needed. Well, everyone at The Santuary was what he needed in order to start healing.

I just didn't fully connect with this storyline or its characters. The steamy sexy parts were steamy and sexy, but the other aspects of a building relationship just weren't there for me. I also felt like there wasn't enough time spent on how things would be resolved in the storyline and there was too much time spent on the insignificant details. I would have loved more of Justice and Lil in a different light other than verbal lashings and hot and heavy make out sessions. I would have liked to see more of the softer sides of Justice that we barely get glimpses of throughout the book.

Overall it was a great story and premise but I just didn't fully connect.
