Lines will be crossed.

5 STARS

**I received an ARC for an honest review.**

This book is NOTHING like I expected, it is so much more that I ever thought it was going to be. It touched on so many heavy topic that are plaguing our country at this moment in time. This book gutted you but then put you back together stronger than you were before. The characters in this book are so well written and strong that you can not help but love them.

I admired Olivia Bradshaw for who she was BEFORE her life was completely shattered and I admired her more so after. I admired her strength and overall love of the people in her life. I also admired the things that she did and continued to do throughout this book. She is one of the strongest female characters that I have read in awhile and I LOVED everything about her. Her compassion, her strength, her loving nature, her ability to forgive so easily, her ability to trust in others when most people wouldn't. I also admired her love of people regardless of color.

Grayson Taylor is most definitely my newest BFF, I am not even sure that he could ever be replace :) I loved everything about this man too. I loved his dedication to his job. I loved his willingness to help others. I loved that he didn't see skin color only people. I loved that he was such a genuinely nice and sweet guy, but he could be downright sexy when he wanted to be. I loved his attachment to Olivia once he decided that he wanted her. Even though most men would have run the other way he stuck by her side until she was ready. I loved that even though he was wrecked by the revelations of his fathers past he still knew he needed to save the place that meant so much to both him and Liv. I really loved the way he handled all of the things thrown his way. Also, Grayson Taylor is oh so sexy when his is angry ;)

This storyline is really hard hitting and well written. I don't want to give anything away because it is a definite MUST read. I will say that at this book made me cry a few times. I cried for all the wrongs done to Liv and the people of Harmony Falls. I cried when, despite everything going on, Liv's friends stood together to support her and show everyone that unity is better than separation. I cried when the character of this book were so destroyed by the action of others. Not all those tears were sad, some were oh so happy tears too.

I recommend this book, this story and these characters.

Excerpt

His gaze softens as he cups the side of my neck. “Jesus, you should never feel insecure. You’re fucking beautiful, Liv, bruises or not. Nothing in the world could ever change that.”
I watch him carefully, his sincerity tearing through my defenses. “You really mean that, don’t you?”

He rears back, the skin between his brows bunching together in deep valleys of confusion. “Of course I do. How could you not know that?”

I shrug. “I don’t know. I guess it’s…” I pause for a moment before deciding to bare it all. “It’s hard for me to believe you still think I’m beautiful despite finding me the way you did.”

Understanding dawns and he quickly shakes his head. “No, not ever. That didn’t change the way I look at you. Yes, it fucking gutted me to see you that way, but not once did I think any less of you.” He pulls me closer while his determined gaze bores into mine. His jaw flexes, the rhythm of his chest growing heavier. “It should have never happened. Nothing so hateful should have ever touched something so beautiful. But make no mistake, Liv, when I look at you, I don’t see the girl I found that day, I see the girl who survived it all. You’re fucking beautiful, inside and out, nothing or no one will ever change that.”

My breath hitches as tears blur my eyes, his words healing my wounded soul. “You make me feel beautiful,” I choke out softly.

“Good, baby, because you are, every inch of you, and don’t ever fucking forget it.” He closes the small space between our mouths, his lips claiming mine in a heated caress as his tongue sweeps in.
