I have had this gem sitting in my waiting to be read list for quite sometime. I am so glad that I finally made time to read this sexy and sweet book. 

I love that the theme for this book and the rest of the series is baseball. I love baseball and these Brooks bothers (HA! not those ;) ) can really make you hot and bothered. I love that they have such differing personalities. 

I absolutely love Keegan. She is such an awesome female lead even though she has some self image issues she is still one strong willed and smart girl. I love that she decided to take control of her life by moving out of her mothers house, even if at first she moved in with the moodiest, broodiest man. I liked that she decides that she isn't going to take his crap and she called him on it. I will admit at times though that he made her go bat shit crazy. But the sexual tension between the two of them made up for all of that. Camden and Keegan (by the way LOVE the name Keegan for a female) had such a love/hate relationship, but it was so worth it in the end. I loved that Camden was so protective over her. I hated that he tried to make her feel like shit in the very beginning, but he more that made up for it. I loved his demanding manner in the bed room, it made for some seriously hot sex!!! I love that Keegan discovered that she enjoys his brand of sexual dominance.  (P.S. I HATE Luke)

Okay that is not all that this story has to offer. It shows that both Camden and Keegan are family people. They love those closest to them and will fight for them. Keegan is practically a mother to her younger sister, Sarah, and their relationship is so loving. Camden is close to his whole family and it is just what Keegan was missing out on her whole life, a large loving family. I can not wait to see what is next in this series when Slider comes out. 

This Author knows how to write a great story, with great characters who have depth, steamy as all get out sex scenes and an awesome ending. This is a definite read if you are looking for all of the stuff I just mentioned.

Holy all things HOT, STEAMY AND SEXY!!! This short and to the point novella is totally worth 99¢ price tag. I don't have any person experience with fantasizing about a professor, because all the men who taught at the local college here were old or not very nice to look at. If Tristan Everett was my professor I would let him do very naughty things to me anywhere he wanted. 

This little novella is filled with steamy, dirty sex. You definitely will get a little hot under the collar while reading it. The characters are very well written also for it being a sexy erotic novella. I really liked Tristan and Mel. I loved the possessive stance that Tristan took towards Mel without even realizing or wanting it to happen. I liked that is was told in the alternating POV so you can get thoughts from both sides. Sometimes female authors don't really capture a male POV and they can sometimes make then too feminine or even make them slip in their personality, but not Miss Devoe. She totally rocks and writing Tristan's sexy dominating character and even when he is so confused as to what he is feeling. She executed his character great. Mels character is pretty awesome too. Smart, sexy woman who has no idea how attractive she is. But Tristan soon drives that home to her and their explosive sexual relationship just might turn into something more...

Before I could process what she was doing, her back faced me as she lowered her robe. With her arms bent at the sides, the robe fell down her back and draped across the back of her waist. She reached up with one hand and pulled her hair over her shoulder so I could see the black lace. I wanted to run my hands over her skin and feel the lace beneath my fingers. But I stopped myself. This book is such a heartwarming read. I really enjoyed Emily's loving character. I will admit at first I thought that she was going to be a whiny self absorbed brat that was forced to visit her grandmother, when all she wanted to do is live her city life. But I was so wrong. The genuine sincerity of her character was amazing and I connected with her instantly. I have another confession...I absolutely hated Jess at first. I found him to be so rude to Emily of no reason at all, other than she seemed to remind him of his wife because she lived in the city and was visiting the small town. But holy cow did those two have some built up sexual tension. I will get back to that.

The turn around point for Emily and Jess started when she made the effort to befriend his daughter, Katie, and really showed the genuine interest to help them. I fell in love with Katie right off the bat. Such a sweet girl just trying to do what she thought she had to. Emily really made a strong effort to help both Katie and Jess with the "curse" that plagued them both. While Emily has made it her mission to help them, she too suffers a tragedy and it is Jess who is there to help her and things really start moving forward, but there is always a hesitation on Jess' part, because he knows that Emily's days are numbered in his small town. Neither of them want to hurt each other and Jess needs to think about not only himself but Katie too.

Jess seems like such a jerk in the beginning when him and Emily first meet. He seems to really dislike her and Emily has no idea why until a childhood friend explains what it couple be. Although he is a jerk to her Emily is still nice to him and his daughter. All three of them grow close. Jess and Emily have some serious sexual chemistry and let me tell you it is SIZZLING. There are so many situations where the build up is so intense that I think I will spontaneously combust if I don't get the pay off. Is there a payoff? I guess you will need to buy the book and read it to find out.

This author definitely has the ability to write a story to keep you interested and her steamy scenes and just that STEAMY!

If you like great characters with a heartwarming storyline then you should definitely give this book a try.
